While our recent history has been riddled with partisan and divisive politics, we look to the passing of an American hero to bring us together. Arizona Senator John McCain served the United States for decades, through wartime and peace. He placed country before self to show us what integrity and true patriotism mean in today’s world.
Senator McCain demonstrated strong leadership through actions rather than words. He showed us that leadership includes treating others with respect, regardless of their position, beliefs or background. He led by example when he held himself and his peers accountable to the public trust, and he didn’t back down when wrongs needed to be addressed. He showed us that great leaders could earn respect from both those with whom they agree, as well as with those who disagree philosophically or have different views or political agendas.
Government leaders have the opportunity to honor Senator McCain’s legacy by showing the same type of love for our country and respect for each other that he practiced throughout his career of public service. Even when we don’t agree on policy issues, it is still possible to find common ground and ways to have respectful, civil discourse to help and serve the people of this country.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Ladlas Prince and its team members thank Senator McCain for his service and send our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
